Over twenty years experience in local media with WUSA-Tv 9 and WTTG-TV Fox 5 Winner of 4 Emmy Awards Cinematography/Videography News Series, 4 Associated Press Awards Television/Photography Enterprise/Reporting Pain Connection Secretary terms of office held from May 29, 2003-2005 and 2005-2007; and Treasury position from December 19, 2003-2005 and 2005-12/2006. Secretary: Ellen Weiss - B M.Sc. in Public Health, University of London. International Center for Research on Women, Washington, DC. Fourteen years of experience in HIV/AIDS research and programs, including program evaluation and proposal writing. Spouse is a chronic pain sufferer and member of Pain Connection7. Terms of office held as President were from January 9, 2003-2005 and 2005-2007. Vice-President 2007-2009. Secretary 12/2008-2010.

Treasurer: Neil Goldstein – MA, Columbia University, New York. Captain, U.S. Public Health Service (Ret.), President/CEO Image Smiths, Inc., a medical imaging software company. Term of office held from December 2006-2008 and 2008-2010.

Director: Malcolm Herman - B.A./M.A, Cambridge University, England. Attorney licensed in Maryland and New York and in private practice in Rockville, Maryland. Spouse is a chronic pain sufferer. Terms of office held are from January 9, 2003-2005, 2005-2007 and 2007-2009.
Director: Mandy S. David, PA-C. Currently a provider and program manager at the Sickle Cell Infusion Center at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She has been in the field of sickle cell disease and pain management for 4 years. She attended Xavier University of Louisiana as Bio- Pre med major and transferred to Howard University and graduated from the Physician Assistant Program. Currently Ms. David is on the advisory council for prescription drug monitoring for the state of Maryland to ensure that providers, such as herself, have the opportunity to continue the fight for effective pain management.


Director: Rohit Saran, BE, MS Information Technology George Washington University, MBA Duke University. Director at FreddieMac, specializing in business transformation and operational strategy. Spouse is a physical therapist. Joined the board in March 2010.

Executive Director and Founder: Gwenn Herman, LCSW-C,DCSW - State University of New York at Buffalo, Bachelor’s degree in Social work. University of Oklahoma, Master’s degree in Social Work. Founded Pain Connection in 1999 and a private psychotherapy practice in Potomac, MD.
