Interns Reach Out to the Universities at Shady Grove

Ornella, Kristen and myself set up a Pain Connection table in the Universities at Shady Grove Café to promote Pain Connection’s services and to raise awareness of the barriers surrounding chronic pain management.  We also wanted to gain a better understanding of the best media outlet to reach out to individuals. Everyone that came up to the table filled out a quick online survey that Kristen had developed.

Going into this tabling event, we were hoping to find and reach out to students on campus with chronic pain in order to develop a chronic pain youth track at Pain Connection.  We were overwhelmed by the amount of students and faculty that stopped by and expressed gratitude for finding out about Pain Connection programs .  We met one student in particular with chronic pain who is very excited to work with Ornella, Kristen and myself to develop the youth track at Pain Connection.  We will be interviewing this student and sharing her story in an upcoming blog post.IMG_3387

Blow is the link to Kristen’s survey for anyone interested in providing feedback.  We would love to hear from you!
